Dear Candor Central School District Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding the summer school program for this year. Due to the grant funding for the program coming to an end and the upcoming capital project that will be under construction in both of our schools throughout the summer, we regret to announce that we will not be able to run a summer school program for 2024.
While this decision was a difficult one to make, please know that the safety and well-being of our students and faculty are our top priorities. The construction projects are crucial for the maintenance and enhancement of our school facilities, ensuring a suitable learning environment for all students.
We understand the importance of the summer school program for many of our students, and we share your disappointment in not being able to offer it this year. We are committed to bring back a summer school program and are exploring options for the summer of 2025.
